Making MX Pants & Jerseys is not something new for Alpinestars they give this “One-of-kind” apperal to certain riders for a season or two(they have been doing this for the past six years). I use to be sponsored by Oakley and they made me a “One-of-kind” FMX Shorts & Jersey and i had tons of people asking me…”when is Oakley going to make that avalible to the public” I would tell them to call or email them, That’s what the Oakley rep. told me to say and that’s it.If Alpinestars starts making Mx pants & Jerseys for the public that’s great. But, I really don’t think they are going too.Maybe….2009?

Sweat contains salt and other minerals, which leather does not like. Lotion contains lanolin and other moisturizers, which leather needs. Before you ride, put lotion on your hands. The point is NOT to go “squish” when you put them on, it is to allow the lotion to work into the leather and keep it soft.

Check http://www.newenough.com.They have great prices and great customer service. Now, they’re not going to, “meet or beat” a price on some random (probably used) jacket you find on ebay, but if you want a good price on THIS year’s model jacket, check ‘em out. (No, I’m not a shill for New Enough. But I DID purchase my helmet, gloves, two jackets, and pants from ‘em; and in all cases, they were great to work with…)

Phone some motorbike dealerships and ask if they stock them

easy. go to a store that sells tech 10’s and try them on. then leave and buy them on the internet. Good choice in boot by the way, i like the tech 8’s way better though but still alpinestar is one of the best.

the best way to fix yer problem is to take the boots to a good shoe (boot) repair shop and they cna put a nice soul on there for you,,, you can also buy new ones @ alpinestars dealers or web site but cost more and you still have to get them put on. nothin like broken in boots.!

If you’re looking for everyday riding then a 2 piece suit is the best choice. However, be careful – not all suits are made the same. For maximum safety, ensure the suit has a 360 degree zipper to attach top to bottom. Many of the cheaper ones only have a zipper in the back.Frank Thomas suits are cheap for a reason. I saw one ripped apart recently in a relatively low speed crash. Look at what the racer’s are wearing – Rocket, Alpinestar, Dianese, AGV. There are many good ones out there. If you can afford it the best way to go is custom made. About $1200 gets you max comfort and protection. http://www.racingleather.com is one of the best and he ships worldwide. For about half that you can get a decent Alpine stars 2 piece (the octane ventilated) but make sure you try it on before buying – they’re sizing is very unusual.Personally I have a Joe Rocket 2 piece and a custom one piece.

You say you are importing them but where are you? I know that many of the places that sell Alpinestar boots have them on sale at present as the 2010 gear will be on the shelves soon so they need to get rid of the older stock. I believe BTO had some on sale and so did Motocross giant. Not all sizes where available though.

Personal preference. I have Tech 3’s and my buddy has the comp 5’s. Personally, I like A-Stars. But, that’s just me. They’re both great boots. I’d go down to the local shop and see which one fits you better and which one is just more comfortable all around. I love my Tech 3’s, but once again that’s my opinion.
