Am looking at some interior changes and also want to two tone the paint.

This is more like dye trnasfer which you may be able to remove twith thishttp://www.lttleathercare.co.uk/product….specifically formulated for carsIf this does not remove it then there is probably nothing you can use yourself without damaging the finish on the leather.Do not use Magic erasers as these will remove the finish or alcohol or solvents as these will also be likely to damage the finish on the leather and this will then need replacing.

Off Deep Woods” spray I also heard if you take a dry erase marker and color over the magic marker it takes it offregular toothpaste and a toothbrushW-D40eraser from a pencilWhatever you do do not use finger nail polish remover. It will damage the couch further. Also, If you just give it time eventually it will come out, over time.

Enamel paint is the best for this purpose but you need to first lightly scour the spot wherethee paint will be put with sand paper so that the paint can “soak” into the material.

I am pretty sure it is what ever you put on it as a cover up. Leather shouldn’t leave color on anything

I would use an acrylic paint, if they come in a marker format and if you have never painted before this is the route I would go. If you are a seasoned painter go for the brush and paint method. I wouldn’t use nail polish remover, the paint should stick to the leather regardless. Acrylic paint does need a sealer when you are done. A spray on clear matt finish would be the best. It may crack as the shoes start to wear and I don’t think there is any way around that. Although the cracking shouldn’t be extensive. Leather cracks and creases even though its not painted. Hope this helps!

I might consult with a shoe repair shop in what materials to use for your permanent design. I believe there are special paints or dyes for use on leather. Then I would draw out your design on a template (pattern) you have made of the various sections of the boots. Then you can trace it onto the leather with transfer paper. Here is a brief article about painting on leather: http://www.ehow.com/how_2044340_do-leather-painting.html

try Modge Podge – it’s a flexible sealer found at your arts and crafts store.

Don’t try bleach just yet; it could really mess up the color. If this is a wax based paste you need to get a good degreaser/solvent like DeSolv-It. Spray it on, let it soak and scrub the “red” spots with a small toothbrush. There’s a pic of the product on the link page.

well first sketch it in pencil, then color it in.and where it goes darker with the same color do more that 1 stroke of the marker

If the grain of the leather is visible on the leather then it sounds as though you have an aniline style (one that absorbs moisture). Stains such as marker stains and paint stains and dark spots will be impossible to get out of a leather like this, but it may be worth trying a leather cleaner (Lazy Leather) to see what reuslts you can get.The leather has not been looked after correctly and it may be a better option to replace the seat panels with some new leather or fabric.Hope this helps
