Beneficial hints on leather paint markers

Custom printing on leather?
I am looking to make a friend a short custom scrap book of her graduation. But when I look online for personalized photo albums they all hold leather paint markers like 100 pictures. I only will need at most 30 pictures. So I decided I would try and make a personalized one on my own. I was thinking I could use shaped paper clips and heat them to print them. Then just use a paint marker to color it. I was just looking to see if anyone has used this method or if there is another way of doing it.
