Old window frames make great pictures frames for 4 small prints (or how many openings there are in the window). Or great frames for small mirrors, making it into a large mirror when all put together (hot glue the mirrors to the back). One large scene behind one window frame and a lacy curtain, makes it look like an extra window in your room…you pick the scene. Cork board stapled behind also makes a great bulletin board, again, with or without the lace curtain and of course, without the glass. They sell stained glass paint in craft stores, make yourself your own stained glass window and hang in front of an existing window in your home with a chain and a hook.Have fun!

Make clay! Creative Clay!1 cup of cornstarch1 cup of baking soda1-1/4 cups of cold waterMix ingredients together in a saucepan over medium heat, stirring constantly. Stir, about 5 minutes untilit’s very thick — like mashed potatoes. Cool on a plate until you can work with it with your hands. Roll, cut, or shape as you wish. Let dry for about 2 days. Paint with acrylics, tempura, watercolors, ormarkers.or make silly glob! its super fun!Silly Glob!1/2 cup of Borax2 quarts + 1-1/2 cups of water2 cups of white gluefood coloring (Choose ONE color)Lysol (the Lysol stops spoiling)plastic bags for storage (Zip Lock is best)Directions:1. Mix together 1/2 cup of Borax with 2 quarts of water. Allow the mixture to settle and then use onlythe clear liquid. Set aside.2. Mix 2 cups of white glue (Elmer’s is best) with 1-1/2 cups of water. Add food coloring (just a fewdrops) if you would like the GLOB to have color. Add a few drops of Lysol (this prevents spoilage). 3.Add the clear liquid in #1 with the mixture in #2. Knead the mixture together with your hands into yourSILLY GLOB.4. Store in plastic bag (zip lock type is best).

11 and 12 years old? MMMM. Good luck. They want to do what their friends are doing. But if you can: what I told my kids at that age: I want you to draw me a picture of your favorite word ( include the words: NOT THE WORD ITSELF). Just have them draw you a picture of what that word means to them. Kept mine busy for hours.
