The writing isn’t bad but it is plain. I attribute that to the fact that there is a lot of information the writer is communicating over an incredibly spaced out amount of time. All of this could have been written more concisely if all the information is absolutely necessary which as the reader I assume it is or else why write it.For example – the character (whose name we aren’t privy too yet) is making his mother breakfast. Why? Is she too busy to cook? Maybe she’s hurt or sick? Is it only the two of them? Does he play man of the house and she works two jobs so he cooks sometimes? <—- offering the scene is good if it is going to tell us something about the character and his mother.The whole Socko in Florida thing — What is the point? What does it tell us about Danny? Is he jealous? Does Socko go every summer? Is the car significant? Does it change their social status? Do people stare?What is the point of all this information? As the reader I haven’t learned much about them and the things I have learned about Danny aren’t all that useful. I know what his house looks like (from the outside), he can cook a little (at the very least an egg sandwich thing), that he has a best friend, isn’t typical male and sits like an idiot.

Oh Dear. Im really sorry , but your mom sounds like a total twat.:/ I dont blame you.Perhaps shes just going through moody times..I also feel really bad about how you got regecjted by the present.But dont mind her ,that was unbelievably bitchy.. She sounds like shes acting as a total child the way you get grounded for not telling her about your half day.Thats downright pathetic.But listen dear, she obviously does love you,I mean who doesnt love their kid..Now all you need is someone to talk to,perhaps a counseller or teacher at school?How old are you too?Maybe try talking to your dad about it ?Or a sibling ,aunt or uncle?Im sure your moms just being difficult cuz shes realising shes getting old .. lolDont worry luv

not read the book myself but if you are sure that there is a mistake write to the publishers and point it out so that they can correct it in later editionsthey will be grateful and may even send you a book voucher or something to say thanks

Your not offering anything you know? I mean you haven’t left your mark. I don’t want to be harsh but it’s not ambitious or even engaging. Also I find it hard to believe the friggin moon could wake somebody up. I’ll give it a 6.
