Should I get my mom a Dooney and Bourke bag? Will people treat her better for that, or is that too cheap?
I want to get her a leather Dooney & Bourke bag (and accessories) online for 50% off…so I’m looking at around $100-$200. I am 19 and paying my entire way through college, so I can’t afford much…but since my mom just moved to a resort community next to the beach, I wanted to get her something stylish. She is 61 and does not care about her appearance. kid leather hair rollers Because she isn’t AND doesn’t look wealthy like most people in our city, people (even waiters) have a tendency to shove her aside/disregard her. As a kid I was ugly (bad teeth/hair and no style) and people made fun of me, but after getting a makeover and wearing high-end clothes/bags such as LV, Miu Miu, Marc Jacobs and 100% cashmere people would even suck-up to me.I was thinking if I got my mom a Dooney and Bourke that at least she would get treated better than when she wears really cheap, frumpy purses. I know its not the same as getting her an epileather louis vuitton or something more upscale, but do you think my mom will get treated better if I get her a D&B purse and some accessories?Or does it have to be high-end designer purses (such as Lv, Burberry, Ferragamo)for her to get treated better? Thanks ^^I buy all my high-end clothes on sale at major discounts (except Lv of course :/)
